MILD SITE REVAMP AND ONLY 11 DAYS LEFT FOR "THE FOX WITCH!!!"
I decided it's time for some changes. First to cross off the list: quitting my day job! Since launching my IndieGoGo project, I got hired to do a couple different projects, the main one is pencilling a graphic novel that is yet to be accepted by a publisher. This new project is done in a more shaded, rendered style, so I still don't want to put it in my portfolio for fear of getting hired to work in that style FOREVER. Along with this new gig, I'll still be inking "Escape From Terra" every week. These will be my part-time jobs until further notice. Come September 8th, I will be working half my week on those jobs and the other half will be dedicated to my Fox Witch project. PLEASE DONATE by clicking the link to the left!! COOL STUFF!!
I am very excited!! So excited that I got a cheap haircut at Aveda and gave myself BANGS!
An update about the cons I went to: They were cool. Cowtown was cooler than the video game convention on the Auraria campus, but that's only because it was geared towards video games instead of art and comics. It was great to hang out with people regardless. Cowtown was pretty rad! Upsides: I sold out of all three of my prints (ha!), sold a bunch of sketchbooks, and met some really cool people. Downside: my "Calling Home" mini never worked out. The work and funds I put into printing and binding wasn't worth making more. Alexander and I will have to think of something else for those of you who want to buy a physical copy.
Lastly, I'm ignorant of lightbox and still haven't figured out how to get the last three image thumbnails on this site to work correctly :( I guess I'll have to pester John again. You reading this John? Yeah...I'll be coming after you soon.

CONS!!

33 days left to go to contribute to my Fox Witch fund on IndieGoGo!! Click the link to the left to do so. I would absolutely love it if you would!
I will be at two conventions this weekend. The first is SuperCon 2010 in Denver in the Tivoli Building on the Auraria campus. Here's their site: link! I will be there on Friday the 13th.
The second con is Cowtown Small Press Comic Expo at the Tattered Cover (Wynkoop and 16th St. Mall) on Saturday the 14th from 10am to 5pm. Here's the Facebook page: link!
At both of these cons I will be selling my new sketchbooks, the complete printed "Calling Home," and I think I'll have 13 x 19 color prints of some illustrations/covers. Good stuff, people!! I hope to see you there!
